Yayasan Hasanah, a foundation of Khazanah Nasional Bhd, is reopening ArtsFAS grant applications offering up to RM250,000 for each eligible applicant. The application period lasts on for a limited time, until this 30 November.
The ArtsFAS 2022 grant is open to all arts, culture and heritage organizations in Malaysia but the proposed event must be organised on or before 31 December 2022.
Submissions for this year’s grant must have details of the proposed activities, clear objectives and a comprehensive budget on how the funding will meet it objectives.
They’re giving out a lot of money, but for a limited time only and in a short production time. Tick tock.
Arts For All Seasons (ArtsFAS) is an effort by Yayasan Hasanah to preserve and celebrate Malaysian Arts, Heritage and Culture. They started off in 2020, offering an avenue for Malaysian artists and local arts to thrive during and after the pandemic.
They give aid through grants and collaborations with other partners to support the Malaysian art scene, educate the community and expose the art and culture to a broader audience.
They support events like showcases, ensemble performances, theatrical productions, workshops, exhibitions, webinars, festivals, place-making activities and more.
Last year, the foundation contributed around RM1.68 million through the ArtsFAS 2021 grant. This year to date, they have awarded around RM3 million worth of 2022 grants to 26 arts, culture and heritage organisations in support of revitalising the creative economy.
Through the grants, about 1,000 arts culture and heritage practitioners are to benefit from it and Malaysian audiences are treated with a series of creative talents before their eyes.
“This year, we are looking to distribute a much larger amount for even more impact-based projects and initiatives by our partners through ArtsFAS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance.
We look forward to having fresh applicants who need support for their performances, exhibitions and even art demonstrations which will be showcasing our rich multicultural legacy across the country for all Malaysians alike.”
Dato’ Shahira Ahmed Bazari, Yayasan Hasanah Managing Director and Trustee
